Margaret graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2009. This was also the year she was named Miss Saint Patrick by the Trenton Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, a memory she still cherishes. She went on to graduate from Rider University in 2013 with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. Margaret is a proud educator, as becoming a teacher has been a lifelong goal for her. She has been so fortunate to have had the support and encouragement of mentors that she has met along the way who have taught her so much about what it means to be an effective teacher. Margaret was a second grade teacher at Sharon Elementary School in Robbinsville, NJ for 10 years. She is currently a special education teacher at Johnson Park Elementary School in Princeton, NJ. Margaret has become very passionate about children’s literacy. She is continuing her education at The College of New Jersey where is working toward her M. Ed. in Literacy with a Reading Specialist Certification.

Margaret has enjoyed being an active member of LAOH Mathair Gael Division 10 based in Trenton, NJ. She is a member of the Gael Scoil Committee, a position she loves. It warms her heart to see children taking an active interest in their Irish heritage, just as she did when she was a little girl. Margaret has also taken an active role in Division 10’s partnership with Children’s Home Society of NJ. She is proud to have organized annual School Supply Drives and Holiday Gift Drives to support local families in need.
