Irish America, Congress and Constitutional Change in Ireland Forum

The Irish Echo will host a historic Forum on the Capitol campus on Wednesday 2 December 2026 on the theme of 'Irish America, Congress and Constitutional Change in Ireland'.

With a bipartisan cohort of speakers and guests from Ireland, the Forum will kick off a campaign to have Congress pass a resolution supporting the peaceful reunification of Ireland, as provided for in the Good Friday Agreement 1998.

Use of a Congressional Meeting Room is being sponsored by newly-returned Congressman Richie Neal, who is the Democratic Leader of the Friends of Ireland Caucus and who has an unrivalled record over five decades of supporting the Irish peace process.

Baptist Minister and Board Member with campaign group Ireland's Future will fly in from Belfast to address the Forum while moderating will be New York podcaster Sophie Colgan.

This is a unique opportunity for all those who believe that Irish unity is achievable to ask how America might support that noble objective.

Tickets are free but require registration. Donations towards the cost of the event can be made via the Irish Echo Donate page.
