Erin Lee Crowley was a small business owner in Mahopac, she is the founder of the Hope Chest Sisters, a 5013c nonprofit organization that provides support and advocacy for domestic violence victims; she is a prominent community activist and organizer, whose Mask Maker's Guild distributed over 30,000 pieces of PPE to frontline workers during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, when supplies were scarce. For those efforts, Erin was recognized as a "Hometown Hero" by NY State Senator Peter Harckham.  She is also a member of the Patterson Rotary, where she currently serves as the Vocational Chair.

Erin was named a "woman of distinction" by Congressman Michael V. Lawler (NY-17) prior to working for him as a district representative. Lastly, Erin is a strong advocate for veterans and is an auxiliary member for her local VFW Post 5491.
