Emily Jester is 24 years old and was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the Catholic High School of Baltimore and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Master of Arts in History with a focus on Irish and Irish-American History. She currently works as a first grade teacher at Cardinal Shehan Catholic School in Baltimore, where she proudly hangs an Irish flag and St. Brigid’s cross behind her desk. Emily has always been interested in her Irish heritage. She joined the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians in 2021 and went on to become her division’s representative for Freedom For All Ireland. She has since become her division’s Irish historian, the Maryland state LAOH membership chairwoman, and St. Brigid in the Baltimore St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
