What is your profession? Up until my retirement in 2010, I was in accounting.

How do you celebrate your Irishness? I am involved in several Irish Organization.: Pittsburgh Ceili Club, Gaelic Arts, LAOH Division 4, All Ireland Association & Irish American Unity Conference, I am a founding member of the PCC and have served as president 8 times, their first treasurer and twice treasurer for Gaelic Arts.

Name a hero you admire and why? My older brother  He served in armed forces in the Army, Marine and Navy, he was in the medical field, served 2 tours in Vietnam. He stayed in service for over 20 years. He had such pride for all the people in service and all the vets he has come into contact with. His only request when he passed away was to be buried in his uniform.

Something people would be surprised to know about me... I was a license hairdresser after high school. Worked at that for a few years.

Biography: I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA  My mother was 8 when she emigrated from Donegal, Ireland with her mother, father and 3 youngers siblings.in 1925. I was raised with music and dance in the house. In my youth i loved to dance whether it be tap, ballet, jazz, acrobatic and of course Irish step dancing and Scottish dancing. In my senior year of High School, I attended cosmetology classes and after graduation I received my license. Afterwards I went into accounting. I have one daughter and 3 grandchildren. During retirement I devote my time to family and volunteer for several Irish organizations.
