According to a release, The Emerald Isle Immigration Center (EIIC) has once again been selected as the beneficiary of the Annual Celtic Cruise hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians New York Division 7. The popular fundraising event will take place aboard the Spirit of New York on Wednesday, June 10,

The release stated that at a time when EIIC and many nonprofit organizations are facing significant federal funding cuts and increasing demand for services, this annual fundraiser is more important than ever.

"The Celtic Cruise is one of the best parties of the year," said Celtic Cruise Chairman Sean Claffey. "Great dancing, great music, great food, and the best of times."

Guests can look forward to "an unforgettable evening on the Hudson River featuring spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline, a chef-prepared buffet dinner, a full open bar, and live entertainment from some of the Irish-American community's most popular performers."

The cruise includes a chef-prepared buffet dinner and full open bar; entertainment from Irish and Irish-American bands who generously donate their time, treasure, and talents, including The Brooklyn Bards, The Narrowbacks, Amadans, Celtic Blend, Murphy's Lawyer, Mary O Musicians, and the Shay Mac Band.

Incredible New York City skyline views from the climate-controlled interior and open-air exterior decks.

Added the release: "EIIC has a long history of helping new immigrants transition into their communities while learning about the culture and history of the United States. EIIC staff and volunteers conduct outreach and provide vital information and resources to immigrants throughout New York City.

"Over the last decade, Celtic Charities, the philanthropic arm of AOH New York Division 7, has raised close to $50,000 annually in unrestricted operating funds through event and raffle ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations. These critical funds support EIIC's free programs and services to the Irish diaspora and immigrants from more than 63 countries. EIIC reaches approximately 35,000 clients each year and has historically served individuals from 130 nations."

Said Sean Claffey: "There has never been a more important time than now to help Emerald Isle Immigration Center. Emerald Isle Immigration Center (EIIC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides essential services to the immigrant community of New York. EIIC was born out of the Irish immigration movement founded in 1988."

Siobhan Dennehy, Executive Director of Emerald Isle Immigration Center said: “Emerald Isle Immigration Center sincerely appreciates any support you can offer, whether by attending our cruise or purchasing raffle tickets. Your generosity directly enables us to continue providing vital services to the communities we serve. This year's cruise promises a wonderful evening of dining and entertainment at exceptional value. It is a summer night you won't want to miss.”

As EIIC continues to expand its legal, educational, employment, and health-related services, the organization is actively seeking new sources of funding and working with elected officials and nonprofit partners in the Bronx and Queens to highlight the essential role these programs play in strengthening immigrant communities.
