Irish American leaders from across New York — and across the nation — have been signalling their support for New York State Comptroller Tom DINapoli ahead of a crucial primary election this June.
Joining an Irish Echo initiative to voice support for the veteran Democrat, who has invested over $110m of NY State pension funds in the North of Ireland to boost the peace process, are voters from across the political divide.
The latest 50 to sign up to our online endorsement of Comptroller DiNapoli include music legend Larry Kirwan, Brehon Law Society advocate Domhnall Ó Catháin, St Pat's For All parade organiser Archley Prudent and AOH activist Liam McNabb of Albany.
Also urging support are Emerald Societies dynamo Brian J. Sharkey, Emmy Award-winning producer and comms expert Maura Kelly, drinks industry titan Jim Clerkin and Belfast boosters Suzanne and Joseph Aquino.
All were signing in a personal capacity.
"Tom DiNapoli delivered in fulsome fashion for Irish America and the Irish Echo is proud to have the opportunity to reciprocate that support by hosting this online endorsement," said Irish Echo CEO Connla McCann.
