Photo of the Day: A man has been brought before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin charged with the murder of Denis Donaldson in County Donegal 20 years ago. As a former member of Sinn Fein (he was expelled from the party) Donaldson admitted to working as a British agent. In December, 2005 Donaldson admitted in a statement to RTE News that he had spied for British intelligence since the 1980s. He said at the time that he deeply regretted his activities with British Intelligence and RUC/PSNI Special Branch and apologized to anyone who had suffered as a result of his activities. He was murdered in April of the following year. File photo/Graham Hughes/RollingNews.ie.
