Pic of Day: In one of his last engagements before leaving office President Michael. D Higgins attended the funeral of Sister Stanislaus Kennedy in Dublin. The renowned social justice campaigner and founder of Focus Ireland, died on Monday of this week aged 86. Known widely as Sister Stan, she dedicated her life to tackling homelessness and poverty, and was remembered as a woman of “immense courage and vision” by President Higgins.
