Running the GOAL Mile

Pic of Day: Runners in a GOAL Mile in Dublin shake off their Christmas largesse while helping the aid agency's lifesaving work around the world. GOAL Mile runs are held throughout December across Ireland to raise funds for GOAL. Part of GOAL founder John O'Shea's legacy, the GOAL Mile is now 46 years old. Roughly 25,000 participants do the run in about 150 locations in Ireland and around the world. Most are held on Christmas morning, others throughout the season. Some are as small as 10 people, or as many as 200. GOAL is currently working to organize a series of GOAL miles in the U.S. during 2024. RollingNews.ie photo.
