Larry Kirwan has covered many bases in his storied career.
All those bases will be duly acknowledged this coming October when the Black 47 founder is presented with the 2022 Eugene O'Neill Lifetime Achievement Award from the Irish American Writers & Artists.
The presentation will be on Monday, October 24 in the Skylight Room at Rosie O'Grady's Manhattan, not far from Broadway and the scene of one of Kirwan's greatest triumphs: the Tony Award-winning "Paradise Square."
Wexford native Kirwan was lead singer with Black 47, "New York's House Band," for many years and is also an author, political activist and, of course, Irish Echo columnist.
