Curragh Handover Marked

Pic of Day: Today us the 100th anniversary of the handover of the Curragh Camp by British forces to the new Irish Free State army which took place on May 16, 1922. At noon today a ceremony took place at what is now the Irish Defence Forces Training Camp at the Curragh in County Kildare.
