Two in court over model's death

Two people have appeared in Trim District Court in connection with the death of model Katy French in December 2007, RTE reports.

Kieran Ducie, 40, of Lamberdstown Manor, Kilmessan, Co Meath and Ann Corcoran, 29, of Tolka Road, Clonliffe Road, Dublin 3 both faced two charges regarding the supply of cocaine.

The 24-year-old model died on 6 December 2007 in Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.

The court heard that sometime between 1 December and 2 December 2007, Ducie and Corcoran conspired with persons not before the court to possess a controlled drug for the purpose of supplying to another.

They were also charged that during the same period they intentionally or recklessly engaged in conduct to wit the supply of cocaine to Katy French and failure to get medical assistance in a timely fashion which created a substantial risk of death or serious harm to another.

Both were given bail on their own bond of €500 with an independent surety of €3,100 and are due to appear again in Navan District Court next Wednesday.
