Linguistic Evening

Pic of Day: A celebration of contemporary Irish-language literature was held Thursday evening at the Irish Consulate in Manhattan. Caoimhe Forde, Director of the CUNY Institute for Irish American Studies and an Irish language, literature and history lecturer, was in conversation with acclaimed author Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin, who read from his award winning novel, "Madame Lazare," the first Irish-language book nominated for the European Union Prize for Literature.
