Why I chose this career? My house burned down as a kid and I always admired the work firefighters do.
Proudest moment of my career? Becoming a member of Engine 303.

Biography: Shane McIntyre grew up in Yonkers, Riverdale, and Pearl River NY. Married his wife Nicole in May 2024 and they just had their son Jaxon in August. Shane’s father and the whole side of the family are from Belmullet in Co. Mayo. His mother’s side of the family are from Co. Leitrim and Co. Tipperary. Been a proud member of the Yonkers Fire Department and IAFF Local 628 Union for 5 years, 3 of them on Engine 303. Also a member of the FDNY Gaelic Football team for 5 years and was named Player of the Year in 2024.
