Job Description? Beach lifeguard. Responsible for safeguarding swimmers’ beachgoers on the oceanfront. Prevent accidents by enforcing safety rules, monitoring ocean conditions, and preforming rescues. provide emergency care and educate the public on beach safety.
Why I chose this career? I chose lifeguarding because I have always loved the beach since I was young. The beach is a place where people come to relax and have fun, and I want to be the person who ensures that they can do so safely. Knowing that I can protect lives while working in an environment I love is incredibly rewarding.
Proudest moment of my career? The proudest moment of my career was when I saved a man who was a few seconds away from going under the water. When I got him to the shore, he was coughing up water. I felt a powerful sense of gratitude knowing that because of my actions, he was able to return safely to his family.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... That I am a history teacher.
Biography: Conor Farrell is the Lifeguard captain at Bradley beach. He has been a beach lifeguard for 9 years. During the off season he is a 8th grade history teacher. Conor’s hobbies include surfing, skiing, and music.
