Leaders of the Integrated Education movement in the North of Ireland will be in San Francisco and Boston next month to spread awareness of their work to educate children from the unionist and nationalist communities together.
Branded as 'Learning Together for a More Peaceful Future', the get-togethers will hear from Paul Caskey OBE, CEO of the Integrated Education Fund.
There are almost 80 Integrated schools across Northern Ireland, educating around over 28,000 pupils.
The West Coast event will take place in the United Irish Cultural Center of San Francisco from 6pm on 18 September. "We'd love to have all our friends in the Bay Area join us for a an evening exploring how education can help build a more peaceful, connected and inclusive Northern Ireland," said Katie Pollock of the IEF.
"Paul will share his view on how to grow integrated education, alongside an alumnus who will speak about the personal impact of learning together with children from different religious, cultural and social backgrounds."
The event is free, with light snacks provided and bar purchases available.
Places are limited and anyone interested is encouraged to register in advance on Eventbrite.
The integrated education advocates will be the guests of the Irish American Partnership in Boston on 22 September.
