The Hudson Valley Irish Fest will return for its 17th annual gathering on Saturday, September 19 in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York.
The popular festival is staged at the Riverfront Green Park on the banks of the Hudson River and will run from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The Fest will once again bring together the very best of Irish music, culture, heritage, and community in a family-friendly celebration and the wide array of acts will include returning performers as well as new ones.
Beyond music and storytelling, the Fest offers an abundance of cultural experiences: Authentic Irish food and drink; Artisan crafts and garment vendors; Gaelic football and Hurling demonstrations; Children’s entertainment, including 18th-century games and activities; Irish step dancers and cultural exhibits.
Funds raised by the Fest benefit local Irish culture groups and activities as well as the Hudson Valley Irish Center and Library located in the Church of the Assumption 920 1st. Street in Peekskill. More at www.hvif.org.
