New York State Senator Patricia Fahy will address the 19th annual 40 Under 40 celebration on 27 February in New York.
A proud Irish American, Senator Fahy was first elected to the New York State Senate in 2024. Prior to her election to the Senate, she was a member of New York State Assembly. The veteran Democrat represents the 46th District, which includes most of Albany County, part of Schenectady County, and all of Montgomery County.
A leading advocate for job creation, environmental conservation, and quality education, the Senator has been the prime sponsor of over 300 bills since her election to the State Legislature in 2012 – more than 110 of which have been signed into law.
In recent weeks, she joined other elected representatives and community leaders in the state capital to protest ICE actions in Minnesota. Along with 50 fellow-legislators in Albany, she joined elected representatives across the nation in a joint statement demanding ICE and Border Patrol agents leave Minnesota.
“We must not let Alex Pretti, Renée Nicole Good, and the others we’ve lost die in vain,” she said. “This statement marks a decisive moment in our nation’s history, one where state legislators from across the country have come together in less than three days to say this is not normal, and the American people should not accept extra-judicial style killings in our streets by masked agents as normal. We stand for the rule of law, the freedoms the Constitution guarantees to every person on our soil.”
The Irish 40 Under 40 Class of 2026 come from every corner of the U.S. including Dallas, TX and Denver, CO and represent a dizzying array of professions, from author to aircraft pilot and from engineer to educator.
The 2026 Irish 40 under 40 gala will take place at Club 101, Park Avenue, NY, NY. Tickets still available from our office, 212-482-4818 or direct online. For full bios of our 40, see our Irish 40 under 40 page.
