A series of bomb warnings - all hoaxes as it turned out - caused significant disruption to Irish media organizations Friday.
RTÉ's media campus in Donnybrook, Dublin, was among the complexes that saw an evacuation of personnel.
RTÉ itself reported: "RTÉ and other media organisations around the country were evacuated this morning following a bomb threat.
"The alarm was raised after an email was sent to the national broadcaster, as well as other media outlets across Ireland and Britain.
"Staff were evacuated from the buildings on the Donnybrook campus in Dublin and gardaí were called to the scene, which has since been declared safe. The broadcaster said the safety of its staff and personnel were paramount."
Mediahaus and Independent News Media also evacuated their offices on Talbot Street in Dublin for a time as a precautionary measure. The offices of Newstalk Radio were also affected.
The hoaxes are being seen as part of a broader pattern of disruption across Europe in recent days.
Bomb warnings have affected a number of flights in Europe, including ones operated by Aer Lingus and Ryanair. The warnings resulted in a number of diversions. No bombs have been found.
And those warnings and disruptions followed a wide ranging attack on interconnected supermarket freezer installations across Europe that has resulted in huge losses of frozen food items.

No single hacking entity has been identified as yet but a number of reports have cited a Russian connection.
