The Irish Echo is extending the nominations deadline for its 12th Annual Irish First Responders Awards, with a special appeal for nominations of outstanding women who serve on the frontlines of our communities.

Readers can nominate a female First Responder Hero now at this link.

Over the past 12 years, the awards have honoured remarkable individuals serving in law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services and other frontline roles.

This year, the Irish Echo is making a particular effort to ensure that the achievements of women first responders receive the recognition they deserve.

The extended nomination period will be open exclusively to women nominees, providing an additional opportunity to spotlight inspirational women whose professionalism, compassion and commitment make an extraordinary difference every day.

Whether responding to emergencies, protecting neighbourhoods or providing lifesaving assistance, these women represent the very best traditions of public service.

The Irish Echo is encouraging colleagues, families, community organisations and members of the public to nominate deserving women who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
