So Who's Watching?

Pic of Day: The Journal online newspaper in Ireland has reported that Chinese-made Hikvision surveillance cameras remain installed across Irish public buildings despite international bans and privacy concerns. Hikvision CCTV systems, which are banned from sensitive sites in the UK, U.S. and Australia, are widely used by Irish councils, hospitals, universities, and even inside government buildings, raising data privacy and security concerns. This photo shows a Hikvision camera outside the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital in Dublin. Photo by Leah Farrell/RollingNews.ie.
