Lansdowne Yonkers in action against NY International.

Yonkers move up with 4-0 win

A four-goal midweek blitz at Tibbetts Brook Park saw Matt Kane’s Lansdowne Yonkers blow off NY International and move within a point of first place in the American Premier Soccer League’s Metropolitan Conference.

Liam Salmon, Seamus Keogh, Ethan Holmer and Ben Stitz were on target for the Bhoys, who put on a strong performance over the 90 minutes. International were kept scoreless.

Head coach Kane and his assistants Jordan Collver and Cameron Thacker were particularly delighted with the team’s effort as it came 72 hours after a hard fought 2-1 win over Doxa SC, in bad weather, in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
