Pop-Up Gaeltacht Phenomenon Gets Fáilte at Boston Irish Center

The Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston has taken the wraps off an exciting new program of Irish Language events to take place in the coming weeks, including an Irish language pop-up and Irish Language classes!

Starting Wednesday, January 17, the ICC will begin its weekly series of Irish language classes with the opportunity to meet new people, learn a 'cúpla focal' and improve your Gaeilge. This class is suitable for those who have no or very little Irish language knowledge. This class will run for 10 weeks and will have open enrollment for the first 3 weeks. On Saturday, January 20, from 5-8pm the ICC will host a Pop-up Gaeltacht in the ICC Pub. This event will provide individuals the opportunity to come together to practice their Irish language skills and enjoy a pint and great music. Irish language beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend. This Pop-Up Gaeltacht is part of a series of Irish language pop-ups, sponsored by Sal Baressi of Mass Bay Movers, that will take place at the ICC over the coming months.
