According to a release, the program has been fully financed by the owners of the farms in Maine who produce the wreaths and started the Wreaths Across America program.

Added the County Board release: "As of this writing, there are over 2.4 million wreaths laid at the graves of these veterans per annum. Many corporate sponsors are involved, and all the trucking to the 3,137 sites is through the trucking company donating its own trucks and drivers to this cause. Volunteers lay the wreaths."

The organizers of the gathering at the front of St. Patrick's are asking those attending to be present at 11.30 a.m. at the front of the basilica, the Mott Street entrance.
