Doors open for festival

Pic of the Day: To mark the opening of Dublin Theatre Festival 2021, which starts today, Festival Director Willie White with Mark O’Halloran and Mary Murray “open the doors” of Dublin’s oldest theatre, Smock Alley Theatre, as the festival prepares to welcome live audiences back into shows again. This program celebrates artists making work in Ireland as well as welcoming international theatre companies and visiting artists to Dublin again, with projects from the UK, France, Portugal, Switzerland and Argentina. Dublin Theatre Festival runs until Oct 17, dublintheatrefestival.ie. O’Halloran’s new play “Conversations After Sex” runs at Project Arts Centre and Mary Murray is among the cast of a new work by Geoff Power Stronger at Smock Alley.
