New York 'Chieftain's Walk' in Martin's Memory

Martin McGuinness passed in March, 2017. His memory has lived on in multiple ways, not least by way of a walk designed to honor him while raising money for the Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation.

The inaugural "Chieftain's Walk" in Ireland took place in 2018. It was put on hold last year due to Covid-19 but there was a 2021 walk in recent days on Inch Island in County Donegal.

Now New York City is planning its own walk.
