Keane wants managerial position

Roy Keane has said in an interview with former Manchester United colleague Gary Neville for the Sky Sport YouTube channel The Overlap that he would like to return to league management. Otherwise, there wasn't much new -- just the same old stories about Saipan and falling out with Fergie at Old Trafford. Keane said he is honest enough to realize that it won’t be in the EPL, if he is to return. The former Irish assistant manager revealed that he had talks over a return to management with a Championship club earlier this summer. He said: ‘‘I want to get back into management, but realistically where am I going to go, the Championship or maybe the top of League One? I think there is something in there that I could be a good manager. Perception is the most important word in football. I did well at Sunderland, got them promoted, we stayed up and I wanted to do better.’’
