Astronaut Michael Collins, 90

Apollo 11 Command Module pilot Michael Collins has died aged 90. Collins orbited the moon in July 1969 as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin descended to the surface. Collins was duly described as "the loneliest man" in the world, beyond it, and in history. His voyage to the moon began in Florida but his Collins family voyage to America began with his grandfather, Jeremiah Bernard Collins, who left Dunmanway in County Cork in 1860 and made his first American home in Cincinnati, Ohio.
