They Marched, Masked and Proud

There was no full scale parade due to the pandemic but the members of the Irish American Society of Nassau Suffolk and Queens did manage a limited masked march on Sunday, March 7. Although the parade march consisted of just members it did provide continuity of the society's parade tradition. The march was followed by Mass, then tea and scones. Willis Avenue in Mineola was painted with green lines and shamrocks. Later, members had a lunch followed by a movie...."The Quiet Man" of course. Things are not fully back to normal this St. Patrick's season but they are, hopefully, getting there.
