Rodgers's kin unhappy with move

Brendan Rodgers has revealed he has been shunned by some family members since leaving Celtic last season. The former Hoops boss left Parkhead for Leicester City following a hugely successful spell in February of last year, but many were left fuming over the move. Rodgers said: ‘‘I had family who were just distraught I left Celtic, just couldn’t believe it. Some relations haven’t spoken to me since the day I left Glasgow. If you carry on like that too much, you will never do anything. I had some unforgettable memories at Celtic that will live with me for a lifetime, that I still think about now and I then came into my next experience with Leicester. I left school with nothing. No qualifications, nothing. My life has been based on experiences, hence the reason why I look for the experiences. And moving to Leicester, I felt from a sporting perspective, was going to be the next good experience. Ultimately you have to be unsentimental in football life because this is a business. When you have to make decisions, you have to be unsentimental.”
