Rising to meet an unprecedented challenge

East Monday is traditionally the day for the Irish diaspora to mark the anniversary of the 1916 Rising and pay homage to the men and women of 1916. This is no less the case today, but of course Covid-19 has curtailed traditional gatherings. Nevertheless, online gatherings and tributes have been held in Ireland and around the world and the Irish Echo joins in those salutes no matter where in the world they be.
