The Northeastern United States was blanketed in white Thursday morning. In Binghamton, in upstate New York, for instance, snow fell at a rate of 4 inches per hour overnight and was at 41 inches in total before it stopped. In New York City, such as outside these homes in Forest Hills, Queens, the impact was less dramatic, but the snowfall is being reported as the biggest since January 2016.
