Big win for Virginia GAA team
The Michael Collins Gaelic Football Club from Alexandria, Virginia, celebrate their victory in the US GAA Football National Championship. The club won the Junior D Division, open to teams without Irish-born players, at the U.S. GAA Championship in Philadelphia. The victory by the Alexandria-based Michael Collins, founded in 2008, marked a major expansion for Gaelic football in Northern Virginia, with the establishment of a youth program earlier this year.
