Young Ambassadors to the fore at 40 Under 40 Awards

Laura Hamilton of Boston is the first young leader to be singled out for a special award at the forthcoming Irish 40 Under 40 Awards in New York.

A remarkable tech trailblazer, Laura will join 39 other high-achieving Irish Americans who are making a name for themselves on the national stage.

The 11th annual Irish 40 Under 40 features honorees from California to Connecticut and from Buffalo to the Bronx.

Representing a new generation of inspirational young guns transforming Irish America, honorees come from all fields of endeavor including education, the law, finance, politics, sport, the arts and small business.

The honorees will gather at Rosie O'Grady's in Manhattan on Friday evening, February 23, for a celebratory dinner as guests of the Irish Echo.

Among this year's honorees are AOH dynamo James McGlashin, musician and attorney Maeve Flanagan, Franciscan Daughter of Mary nun Kathleen Dougherty of Covington, Kentucky, and banker Bernard Mooney of the Irish Network Houston.
