July a weather bust

Global warming missed Ireland in July with it being the coldest recorded in almost fifty years.

All but one of Met Eireann's 11 main weather stations reported below normal temperatures, with the greater Dublin area having its coolest July for 46 years, the Irish Times reported.

Dublin Airport's weather station recorded average temperatures of just 13.7 centigrade (56.6 fahrenheit), the lowest since July 1965.
