She answered America's call

Wexford's Commodore John Barry was likely smiling from his lookout perch as Wexford native and Marine Corps Petty Officer 2nd Class Anastatia M. Dobbs was recently made a U.S. citizen.

Dobbs was stationed at the Marine Wing Communication Squadron 48 in Great Lakes, Il. for more than five years. She came to the U.S. from Ireland in 1997 and decided to join the Marine Corps in November of 2001, this in response to the attacks against America on 9/11.
