Beware Ireland: Lomu

JONAH LOMU has tipped Ireland as the best outsiders in the Rugby World Cup, starting in September.

The New Zealander Lomu, the World Cup's top try scorer with 15, terrorized the Irish team amongst others in the 1995 competition held in South Africa. But he clearly believes that Ireland have made great strides since then.

"If there's a team you have to be wary about, and not many people are talking about them, it's Ireland." stressed the giant wing. "Purely because I've watched a lot of their teams.

"I've watched Leinster in the Heineken Cup, and they were very impressive, especially up front. A lot of the Irish players are coming near the end of the line, and they will put everything on the line."
