Tales of two cities at well attended conference

The second annual New York New Belfast conference, held last week at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan, featured an eclectic array of speakers and a conference crowd that listened intently as the future relationship between the two cities was outlined and discussed. Conference-goers also attended a luncheon and a number of them took part in a tour of the Red Hook district in Brooklyn, which, like much of Belfast, has enjoyed a storied history centered on its industrial waterfront. The two days of the conference were rounded off by a reception hosted by Irish Consul General in New York, Noel Kilkenny, at his Midtown residence.
