The resignations of three more Irish bishops will be accepted by the pope in the coming weeks following Magee's departure, the Irish Examiner reported.
Magee, who served as a secretary to three popes, took leave of his position after it was determined that, while being aware of incidents of child abuse by priests, he had not reported the cases to Irish legal and health authorities.
