Sasha Doyle
Where do you live? New York – Manhattan.
Current company and position? Managing Director of North American Support at Options Technology.
First job and what it taught me? My first job was working part time in Boots when I was 16 during my final few years of school and then working as an IT intern at TotalMobile during my year out in industry at university which was a tech development company based in Belfast. Both of these roles taught me a powerful mix of people skills and technical mindset - a foundation that my leadership and professional role have built on today. The skills and qualities that I learnt from both my roles in retail & an IT development company was resilience and emotional intelligence - staying calm during difficult interactions, developing patience and professionalism and learning not to take setbacks or criticism personally. Other skills that I was able to take from these early roles to what my career is today is time management and prioritization - juggling multiple tasks during busy periods, learning to work efficiently under pressure and understanding the importance of reliability and punctuality. Collaboration and teamwork were another set of skills I gained that I have taken with me into my role today. Managing a team of 50 and being an escalation point for major clients in North America comes more naturally to me because of the people-management and problem-solving skills I developed in my previous roles.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? I embrace my Irish heritage by ensuring that I return home to Ireland throughout the year to visit my family and of course eating all the Irish food I can get by frequenting Butcher Block every so often! I am proud to be part of Options Technology that supports and has strong connections to Irish businesses both here in the US and in Ireland, helping them grow and connecting with likeminded individuals that have made the same journey.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... My golf coach was Michael Bannon (Rory McIlroy's coach!!)
Biography: Sasha Doyle is originally from Bangor and made the move to New York City in February 2022, marking the start of an exciting new chapter. She has worked with Options Technology for the past six and a half years, growing into her current role as Managing Director of North American Support - a position that reflects both her experience and dedication. Outside of work, Sasha enjoys swimming, has a strong interest in fashion, loves going to the cinema and listening to Taylor Swift on repeat. These passions help her unwind and bring balance to her busy life in the city.
