Enda Crowley

Where do you live? Upper West Side, NY.

Current company and position? Senior Vice President, Project Executive at Clune Construction.

First job and what it taught me? My first job was working at a Centra supermarket in Dublin. It taught me the fundamentals of work ethic early on — showing up on time, dealing with all kinds of people, and staying calm when the queue stretched halfway down the shop. Between stocking shelves, manning the till, and learning the true importance of a good cup of tea on a long shift, it gave me a real appreciation for hard work, teamwork, and customer service — lessons that have stayed with me ever since.

How do you embrace your Irish heritage? By holding onto the Irish traits that travel well — a strong work ethic, a sense of humor in challenging moments, and an appreciation for community. I stay connected to home, enjoy a good conversation as much as a good plan, and try to approach everything with a bit of Irish perspective and optimism.

Something people would be surprised to know about me... I never had any interest in moving to New York growing up. I arrived very reluctantly, convinced I’d last about six months. Thirteen years later, I’m still here — and now I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Clearly, my ability to predict the future needed some work.
