DJ McCaffery
Where do you live? Secaucus, New Jersey, USA.
Current company and position? Director of Stadium Operations- Red Bull New York/Sports Illustrated Stadium.
First job and what it taught me? My first role as Manager of Training Facility Operations for the New York Red Bulls taught me the importance of leadership, organization, and accountability in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. I learned how to manage daily operations, coordinate across departments, and solve problems quickly while supporting athletes and staff. The experience reinforced the value of preparation, clear communication, and adaptability—lessons that shaped my work ethic and laid the foundation for my career in sports and facilities management.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? I was raised with a deep appreciation for my Irish American heritage, shaped by my maternal grandparents who were born and raised in Belfast, County Antrim, and emigrated to the United States in the 1950s. Their resilience, determination, and adaptability continue to influence my work ethic, teamwork, and people-centered leadership. Beyond my daily responsibilities, I actively mentor emerging professionals and support Irish organizations, including Irish Network NYC and the Rutherford Irish American Association, as a way to give back to the community and honor the values passed down through my family.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... Was recently selected as an honoree to the Irish America Magazine Business 100 list in 2025.
