Jason Arno - EOW - March 1, 2023.

Jason “Jay” was one of a kind. He grew up in north Buffalo, attended St. Rose of Lima grade school, and went on to attend Canisius High School before attending culinary school at ECC. Jay then studied culinary arts abroad in Italy. He worked in various restaurants until he decided his true calling was to become a fireman. He graduated from the academy and became a Buffalo Fire Fighter in 2019. It was one of his most significant accomplishments. He loved serving his community and keeping Buffalo safe. He lived selflessly in all that he did.

When Jay wasn’t at the firehouse, he was a true family man. He met his wife back in 2012 (recently married in 2022) and had a beautiful baby girl named Olivia, born in 2019. Everything he did, he did for his family. Jason was a devoted husband and an incredible father.

He went to work every day proud of being a member of the BFD and ready to serve his community. He died a hero, fulfilling his true calling and protecting his beloved city and fellow BFD brothers and sisters.
