As part of that effort, an evening of entertainment has been planned at Common Mollies, 46 Bushwick Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11211 on next Wednesday, April 22, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Centered on intergenerational family dynamics, aging, memory, masculinity, and the passing of responsibility, “The Keys” offers an intimate portrait of a family over the course of one life-changing night.

“The Keys,” @thekeysplaynyc, follows two brothers and their aging father as memory falters and long-buried truths surface, the family must confront what has been left unsaid — and what can no longer be ignored.

The fundraising evening features artists Dan Sabau, Nash Hogan, Jaxon Northon, Julia Sisson and Dan Krupin. Music is by DJ Kool Thing; Reading by Russell Dillon and Sean Welsh.

Researching sisters

The Irish Family History Forum will feature a presentation entitled “Researching Catholic Nuns & Sisters," with guest speaker Sunny Morton, at the Freeport Memorial Library on this Saturday morning, April 18,

An estimated 350,000 Catholic nuns and sisters helped build the humanitarian and educational infrastructure of immigrant America. But because they left their families, changed their names, and produced no children, many are omitted from their own family trees.

If a woman in your family served in a Catholic order, there should be information about her in that order’s archives. The speaker will explain how to access that information.
