The Bowne family and Quakers generally weren’t into Christmas, but these days the Bowne House most certainly gets into the spirit of the season. Now one can visit the oldest house in Queens for holiday-themed tours this Saturday, Dec. 14, and the following Saturday, Dec. 21, between 12 and 4 p.m. On the latter date, there is also a holiday-themed Read Aloud event from 11 a.m. to Noon, which is appropriate to visitors from 5 years and up.
