ON SONG WITH NEW CLASSES: Performers at the Celtic Junction Holiday Hooley before Christmas.

Celtic Junction in St Paul, MN, joins forces with Gael Linn in an Irish language first

Celtic Junction Arts Center launches its winter quarter with a new partnership with Irish language and culture organization Gael Linn, to provide world-class Irish Language instruction tailored to North American learners.

The Celtic Junction Arts Center is honored to be Gael Linn’s first North American satellite program. Based in Ireland, they have worked tirelessly since their founding in 1953 to foster and promote Irish as a living language. In 2022 they facilitated classes for over 900 adult learners.

Gael Linn instructor Dean Farrell, a Dubliner now living in Montreal, teaches conversational Irish for everyday use in an enjoyable and informal way. He will offer two levels of eight-week Irish Language courses, beginners and intermediate, via Zoom between January 24 and March 18. You can register online at the Celtic Junction website.

The Celtic Junction Arts Center (CJAC) is a pioneering non-profit art and cultural center located in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul, MN which has been recognised by the Irish Echo on numerous occasions.

Celtic Junction has a goundbreaking, transatlantic relationship with Aonach Mhacha in Armagh, Ireland, a Gael Linn-supported Irish language cultural center in a former fire house.

CJAC founded its education department in 2017 in response to the desire in the local community for stress-free and affordable educational opportunities for adults on Celtic topics. In addition to in-person classes, Celtic Junction’s education department has grown to offer online classes via Zoom and welcomes students across North America.
