President Joe Biden sent a letter of greeting to the Glucksman Ireland House/NYU annual awards dinner on Tuesday evening. The gathering was an online affair due to Covid-19. But the warmth in the president’s letter, printed on White House stationary, was up close and personal. And there was something else. Biden signed his name at the bottom, but not as President of the United States. Rather, he signed as “one son of Catherine Eugenia Finnegan.” A proud one if ever there was one.
