The Republic of Ireland Women’s team has received confirmation from UEFA that their qualifying games for the Women’s Euro 2021 finals will be played later this year. The Republic’s team occupy top spot having made an unbeaten start to qualifying, but the outbreak of Covid-19 forced the rescheduling of their remaining games against Germany and Ukraine. Following meetings with UEFA, those games have now been rescheduled with Ireland traveling to Germany on Sept. 19, then they are away to Ukraine on Oct. 23, and finish with a game against Germany in Tallaght Stadium on Dec. 1. The final tournament has been moved to July 2022, while the play-offs will take place in April 2021. The Irish women are likely to be involved in the play-offs as Germany are favorites to top the group.
