President Michael D. Higgins (pictured) and his wife Sabina Higgins celebrated May Day by hosting an event celebrating youth activism. In Celtic tradition, May Day (Lá Bealtaine) marks the beginning of summer and is also a day around the world for celebrating the labor and rights of workers.
